Gillian’s passion for art is centered on its ability to form connections across cultures and generations. Her ideal career involves making art & design accessible to all, despite education, income, or ability.

While living in New York City, studying at Fordham, Gillian discovered her potential in graphic design. Initially, her major was Urban Studies, with the plans to work in community building. During her junior year, to fulfill a degree requirement, she took a multi-media art class. Shortly after, she made room for Visual Arts as her second major, concentrating in Graphic Design.

Despite an outgoing course load, Gillian graduated with the honors award in Visual Art and a Magna Cum Laude distinction for both of her majors, and her minor in Communications. Upon returning to her hometown of Los Angeles, she began her first full-time, in house design position at brandMD Skincare. However, she couldn’t forget New York, so she decided to return to where her love for design was born. She has grown to assume the role of supervisor for all of design at BrandMD, managing her team remotely from her Brooklyn apartment.

When not working, Gillian can be found dancing salsa, cooking up a plant-based meal, spoiling her fur baby, and, most importantly, spending time with her people.
